We have committed to reduce emissions to between 45 & 50 MtCO2e as part of our 2035 NDC. This paves the way to achieve our target of net zero emissions by 2050.

As announced at Budget 2022, Singapore will raise our climate ambition to achieve net zero emissions by or around mid-century. To enable the transition to a low-carbon future, we will raise the carbon tax levels progressively from 2024 to send the right price signal to businesses and individuals to reduce their carbon footprint.
